Why you should run away from Parenting “Experts”

Uncategorized Dec 07, 2017

Run as fast as you can from the “expert” who knows everything about your child or knows how to fix everything.  Why? Your kids are unique and so are you. There are no easy answers that universally answer all our parenting questions and issues.

It seems like a couple of times a year in our house we have this routine happen. One of the kids gets a cold, and it sticks around for a few days. After a few days, our child gets a fever and no other symptoms. They don't complain of ear pain, but my wife has become the expert at being able to identify if they have an ear infection. When we call the doctor and explain that we are relatively sure they have an ear infection, they are skeptical. More often than not, my wife’s intuition is right. When it comes to your kids, the only expert they need is you.

We don't need experts, but we do need a “Q.”

If you’ve ever watched a James Bond movie, you’ll remember Q as the head of the fictional research and development division of the British Secret Service. Q is always providing James Bond with awesome and fantastic tools to help him in his important work.

Parents need a Q, and that's why we created our Catholic Parenting series from Videos.Church. As we looked around, we couldn't find the resource we wanted so we got some of the most dynamic teachers together to put together this awesome resource.

Our parenting series is not like a book to throw at your parenting problems. It’s dynamic videos with printables to help you follow along and engage.

Here’s who this series is for:

  • Parents looking to grow and be encouraged in their faith
  • Parents who want practical tools for teaching their kids about Jesus and the Catholic faith
  • Parents who want videos that you can watch with your kids and use as discussion starters.
  • Parents who want to better at teaching their kids about prayer, sex, the Mass, the Bible, and more.

If you are a busy Catholic parent looking for Q, today’s the day to buy our parenting series.
